Sussex County Ghost Stories
by Joel Wilson
| Faithful readers will remember the collection of Sussex
County ghost stories presented in our October, 1998
issue. Here we featured tales of Uncle Philip,
the roving mountain man, the Peddler Ghost, murdered
but not at rest in Fredon, and Johnsonburg's White
Pilgrim. To the faint of heart I am sorry to say beware, there's more ghosts in and around the county! Here are a couple more supernatural tales that are sure to encourage you to keep your wits about you as we enter the scariest time of the year! The Culvermere Beach Ghost Dog Even Scooby Doo would have found this dog spooky! The Delaware Gap Hiker Ghost (Not exactly Sussex County but close enough!) And here are some spooky links containing other ghost stories! Weird NJ : A great site for wacky New Jersey stuff including a collection of ghost stories with some local pertinence.
