Besides Fair Week, there are many exciting events held at the Sussex County fairgrounds over the summer.  Click on the logo to see a current list.

June 5

Stillwater Day

Join the fine folks of Stillwater for the annual Stillwater Day event.  Activities, vendors, food, and entertainment highlight this event, to be held at Swartswood State Park. Overflow parking at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and Stillwater Park with bus shuttle to fireworks. Event schedule is as follows:

9:00  Stillwater Stampede
10:00 Fun Run

Join the Stillwater Stampede, a five mile run and a one mile fun run to be held at Stillwater Day.   Registration is from 7:00am to 8:45am with the race starting at 9:00am.   Registration is $10 preregistered, $14 on the day of the race, with the fun race two bucks.  For more information call 579-5506.

Peters Valley Bicycle Tour 30+ Mile Bicycle ride through the scenic Delaware Valley.  For more information call the Bicycle Touring Company at 973-984-9353.

Sussex County Art Society Meeting - Painting Picnic A "gentle critique" of member's work.  Meeting starts at 12:00pm in the Lafayette Municipal Building.

It's Friday night and there's nothing to do? Wrong -- Cruise on down in your custom classic to the the Sussex County Mall and enjoy good friends and DJ tunes every Friday night as the PBA sponsors 'Friday Cruise Night' for the entire summer!   For more information, please contact Bruce Joritsma at (973) 383-2525. 

June 16 The Blue Knights Annual Gooch's Garlic Tour The Blue Knights Annual Gooch's Garlic Tour to Little Italy, NYC will be held at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall on Wednesday June 16, 1999.  Donations of $15.00 per motorcycle will be cheerfully accepted to help out two very needy children from the
Tri-County Area.  This is a fully police escorted event leaving the Mall at 6:30 p.m.   Pre-registrations are encouraged and forms may be accessed by contacting Gooch (Sgt. Al Monaco of the Andover Twp Police) at goochnj9@webspan.net.  In person registration is at the mall from 4p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Scrabble and Chess Clubs The Scrabble Club meets the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m. and the Chess Club meets every Monday at 7:30 p.m.   Meetings are held at Lafayette Town Hall, Route 15 (lower level). For more information call 383-8626.

Franklin Quilters Guild Meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the senior center on Labance Drive, Franklin.
